i mean, i love you west west…
in a year where we wondered if we could even continue making cheese, we managed to not only make cheese, but even to enter the contest. we were judged… still shining!
this time west west blue was found exceptional — a super gold.
it continues to be really nice to win an award, but the real message is still simply that natural methods, excellent milk, and fine craft can produce cheeses recognized as among the best in the world!
in a contest where the measure of best is that which makes the heart sing, we are once again heartened.
small-scale, raw milk cheesemakers face daunting odds — keep at it.
(reverie earned a gold; humble, idyll, jack’s blue and kashar took silvers; and herdsman was again awarded a bronze!)
